So a while ago I was selected to try out a few products in the new POND’S Flawless Radiance Derma+ range and it’s safe to say I fell in love with the range.
I normally have combination skin, but for some reason, my skin was extremely dry this winter and due to that I had to change up my skincare routine and products, which is why the PR package came at the right time.
I’ve been using the POND’s range for almost two months now and my skin couldn’t be better. I use to break out every single month, and like every other insecure girl, I would hide behind makeup because of that, but for the last two months, I went from wearing a full face of makeup to only eye makeup and my skin is so clear and pimple free that I honestly don’t even care for makeup anymore.
Products I received:
- POND’S Flawless Radiance Derma+ Brightening Micellar Water
- The POND’S Flawless Radiance Derma+ Perfecting Serum
- POND’S Flawless Radiance Derma+ Night Cream
- POND’S Flawless Radiance Derma+ Mattifying Day Cream
POND’S Flawless Radiance Derma+ Brightening Micellar Water:
I was a bit sceptical to try this product as I am used to the Garnier Micellar Water being perfect for me and my weird sometimes sensitive skin.
The POND’s product did not disappoint. What I love about this particular product is the fact that after a long, tiring day, I can come home, wipe my face using this and you won’t even be able to tell I had a shitty day. The Micellar water gently and effectively cleanses your skin, removing all traces of dirt/makeup, it even removes waterproof makeup which is always a plus.
The only con I have is the fragrance, not really sure why but I just dislike the smell…
Would I recommend it: Yes, the product retails for R79, 99
I give this product 4 out of 5, simply because I didn’t like the smell (shrugs)
The POND’S Flawless Radiance Derma+ Perfecting Serum
This is by far my favourite product in the range, which is surprising as I’ve never been a serum type of girl.
What it promises to do: The POND’S features Flawless Radiance Derma+ Perfecting Serum has been formulated with the DermPerfect™ Complex, a blend of six potent ingredients including the powerful bio-actives Vitamin B3 and Hexyl Resorcinol. The serum targets the skin’s deepest layers and is clinically proven to lighten dark spots within 7 days.
*I fell in love with the texture, and how the serum feels on my skin. I started out by using it every now and then and eventually to using it every day. I’m pretty sure this is the reason for my skin’s healthy glow and lack of impurities.
The other nice thing about this serum is, if you look closer you’ll be able to see little shimmers which adds to the nice glow it gives you, and for my fellow makeup lovers, you can use this as a base for your makeup as the serum literally soaks into your skin, without making it feel sticky or heavy.
Would I recommend it: Hell Yes! The product retails for R119,99
This definitely deserves 5 out of 5. I could not find any flaws in this product and trust me, I was waiting for it to be like every other product and disappoint.
POND’S Flawless Radiance Derma+ Night Cream
What it promises to do: POND’S Flawless Radiance Derma+ Night Cream features POND’S most advanced technology to date, DermPerfect™ Complex. This contains six potent ingredients – including two powerful bio-actives Vitamin B3 and Hexyl Resorcinol. The Derma+ Night Cream works while you sleep, targeting the skin’s deepest layers to lighten dark spots. Use in the evening as part of a daily regime
BEST THING EVER! Combined with the serum, it honestly delivers on what it promises to do. The night cream fights dark marks and spots throughout the night allowing you to wake up with clearer skin in the morning and making your skin feel flawless and soft, the lightweight formula leaves your skin feeling fresh and hydrated. I’m honestly so obsessed with this.
Would I recommend it: A 1000 times yes! The product retails for R119,99
Definitely 5 out of 5. I went from someone who didn’t care about night creams to someone who can’t live without it now.
The next product is my least favourite. In another time or season, I probably would have been all for the Mattifying cream but not this time. I think the season played a big role in me not being the biggest fan of the cream.
POND’S Flawless Radiance Derma+ Mattifying Day Cream
As I mentioned above, I’m not the biggest fan of this product but to those of you who have extremely oily skin, this is for you.
What it promises to do: POND’S Flawless Radiance Derma+ Mattifying Day Cream works with the skin’s natural processes to re-energise skin cells, while keeping shine at bay and protecting the skin with an SPF15. It targets the skin’s deepest layers and is clinically proven to lighten dark spots within 7 days.
The main issue I have with this product is that it was way too drying for my already dry skin. I used it for about a week and gave up on it. When applying, you have to move fast as it is quite drying, think of it as a matte foundation. You have to start blending immediately otherwise the product won’t spread evenly and you’ll end up looking like your face fell in a pool of foundation.
Would I recommend it: As I mentioned, I recommend this if you have oily skin. The product retails for R119,99
I rate this product 3/5 because it didn’t work for me. It didn’t deliver on what I was looking for in a daytime moisturiser.
Overall the range did not disappoint at all, despite me not being the biggest fan of the Mattifying day cream, I will, however, try the other option in the range (POND’S Flawless Radiance Derma+ Hydrating Day Gel or the POND’S Flawless Radiance Derma+ Moisturising Day Cream) and let you guys know how that works out.
I do recommend you try out the range though, it’s honestly my favourite in the POND’S series.
Till next time.
